Special Dishes to Support Refugees on World Refugee Day

Monday, June 20th is World Refugee Day, and one local favorite is showing their support in a unique way

All day, Lloyd Taco Factory on Hertel Ave. will be serving two original creations: the Burmese taco and Burmese spring roll. All proceeds from these dishes will benefit the International Institute of Buffalo. Executive Director Eva Hassett says the funds raised will be used to cover the costs of supplies needed by newly-resettled refugees entering the workforce.

We could not be more excited that Lloyd, which is so much a part of Buffalo’s resurgence, also sees supporting Buffalo’s and the world’s refugee community, especially refugee employment,” said Hassett.
